Anbesol Liquid is a fast-acting pain-relief antiseptic and anesthetic for effectively treating frequently recurring mouth ulcers, babies? teething and denture irritation. Anbesol contains Lidocaine hydrochloride, a local anaesthetic that numbs the sensation of pain. Cetylpyridinium Chloride and Chlorocresol kill bacteria.
This preparation is flammable and must not be exposed to naked flame. Always Consult your doctor and avoid using Anbesol Liquid if: ? You have any open wounds or any damaged patches in your mouth lining as this could result in excessive absorption of active ingredients. ? You are suffering from porphyria ? You are sensitive to lidocaine hydrochloride or cetylpyridinium chloride, or chlorocresol, or any other anaesthetics that is similar to lidocaine or any other constituents. ? Symptoms persist even after 7 days of use or if they keep recurring frequently. ? Never exceed your doctor?s recommended dosage while using Anbesol Liquid as this could lead to over-absorption of active ingredients in your body, resulting in some serious side-effects including convulsions. ? You are pregnant or breast-feeding.
Use clean fingertips to apply a dab of Anbesol Liquid directly to the ulcers or the affected areas. Two applications are usually enough to get pain-relief. You may use for as many as 8 times per day. For teething cases, one application would be super effective and abstain from using this formulation for at least 30 minutes.
Active ingredients are Lidocaine Hydrochloride 0.90% w/w, Cetylpyridinium Chloride 0.02% w/w, and Chlorocresol 0.10% w/w.
